Lokesh Bakshi is an Indian guitarist,songwriter and music composer.He picked up guitar playing at the age of 12 and immediately decided to choose it as a full time career option. It all started with the opening chord of 'Hotel California' and quickly moved towards the fiery riffs of Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Motorhead, Metallica etc.
When the world was preparing for 'Y2K' , Lokesh started his very own one man band ‘Prestorika’ which was later joined by various members to make it a well oiled ‘Metal Machine’. After finding immediate success with his band 'Prestorika' in the college circuit , Lokesh started working on a debut EP 'Emergence' with the band and started touring heavily to promote it.The EP features ‘Here I'm Gone’ which was a humble tribute to one of his all time favourite band ‘Iron Maiden’. In the summer of 2008 Lokesh parted ways with Prestorika and formed a new lineup called ‘Metal Force One’ which saw a fair amount of success in its short existence.
In 2010 Lokesh decided to move cities and shifted base to Mumbai to explore further musical options.Right after moving to Mumbai , Lokesh started touring with bollywood playback singers such as Ram Sampath , Suraj Jagan ,Sona Mohapatra , Shirley Setia , Darshan Raval , Gajendra Verma , Jubin Nautiyal etc,While busy touring with the bollywood acts he kept writing and composing his original music , and released a self produced EP ‘Wine Stains’ (2013). His second production ‘Waqt’ (2014) was the second self produced full length album.
Following the release of 'Waqt' and due to intense gig schedules Lokesh decided to release singles. His very first single and his personal favorite ‘Aasma’ (2015) was released which featured Darshan Raval.Since 'Aasma' Lokesh has released several singles with various artist , but it was in the year 2020 that he decided to release 12 singles one for each month.The 12 singles are part of a compilation '2020 Volts' which saw good success with songs like 'Don’t Stop Dreaming' , 'Road Warrior' , 'Hello My Little Darling' , 'Ek Chhoti Si Baat' which were featured on various streaming playlist.
Apart from making original music Lokesh has been a part of background score of a few bollywood blockbusters like Chennai Express , Besharam , Mission Mangal , Shootout At Wadala , Gabbar , Ragini Mms etc.
